I'm sure other people know this already and think I'm just stupid, which I probably am, but hell with them.
I just finished watching Fight Club and I had a revelation.

All forms of media are the same. Artwork is the same as film is the same as music is the same as fuckin' writing. They all tell some sort of goddamn story to the reader/viewer/listener, but I just noticed that with a lot of art I see I can't help but think to myself "who the fuck cares?" It can be a film with a shitty, over-dramatic story about someone I'm supposed to be sympathetic for but end up hating at the end, or it could be a drawing of someone I could care less about with a nondescript face leering back at me for no reason. Same with shitty music that shows nothing to the listener and ends up wasting a good 3 minutes of their life. Writing will waste even more time.
I've realized our media sucks because our content sucks.
You know why our content sucks?
Because we're all morons who can't understand any one of these things:
1) ourselves
2) the world we live in
3) each other

That's why these American anime fans cling on to crappy Japanese jokes that even the Japanese think suck and believe they're the new *insert beloved comedian here*.
That's why there's so much damn character art without rhyme, reason, and most of all thought.
That's why you get pussy's copying the same damn music from all the other popular bands to get themselves more fame and publicity.
And that's why anyone can write a crappy novel and claim they got this "divine inspiration" from a dream they had oh so long ago. If anyone's dreams are as coherent and make sense enough to inspire a book, give me their number. Or please don't- I don't really care all that much.

Some people are such crap. And it's okay if you're young, I mean, you're just starting to get to know society and yourself. But it's not okay if you're young and think you're such a deep person or you're so experienced and aged and know about everything, and tell this to every goddamn person you can like you're a Buddah. We can't create anything of value until we truly understand #'s 1, 2, and 3.

I don't know shit and I don't pretend like I know shit.

It's not self-deprecation, it's realization.

I'm working on 4 commissioned landscapes atm and I'm half done, so that's where all my time has been lately if anyone really cares. I know I wouldn't. But I'll say it anyway. Then I have scripts to write, essays to produce, and sleep to avoid.
Oi... well I'll post the landscapes soon- their deadline is coming soon enough.
